An ambulance races through the night carrying a young woman named Claire.
She suffered a seizure.
That much is known.
What happened next was not.
Something occurred inside Medic Four that defied explanation. Something that would remain buried, dismissed, and hidden from nearly everyone who might have asked questions.
But some secrets have a way of reaching the wrong ears.
And somewhere far beyond the mortal world, someone has been watching.
Now, an incident forgotten on Earth is about to set something much larger into motion.
The audit has been initiated.

Pressure's 146 over 88. Heart rate 112. How long was the seizure? Has been said about three minutes. Generalized shaking. She went unresponsive afterward and hasn't really come back. Pupils equal and reactive. Let's get a four-lead on her. Sinus tech. 110. Three minutes out. Copy that. 20 gauge. Left DC. Line's good.
Hold on. You see that? Yeah, her fingers twitched and her jaws tightening. Shit. She's teasing again. Um start the clock. Get suction ready and watch her airway. Suction ready? What's the stats? 91. 89. Get the BVM ready. High flow oxygen. 30 seconds. Come on. This is pretty much idiot. Stopped. 58 seconds. Okay. She's breathing. Slow them. Keep the airway positioned. Sats coming back. 90. 92. Um, ma'am, open your eyes, please. Still unresponsive. Let's see how far. Two minutes. All right. Let's get out of there. It's climbing. How high? 128. 152 over 94. You you okay, Collins? Yeah.

The subject had just graduated from a possession to a four-stage full-blown possession. That can take weeks, even months to purify. But this is just stops.
